Motorcyclist injured in Plymouth

At approximately   22:35 hrs on Wednesday 16 September 2020 the Devon and Cornwall Police received a call from a member of the public stating that there had been a collision on Devonport Hill, Plymouth involving a single motorcyclist which had lost control and struck stone wall.

Paramedics administered first aid and critical care on scene and the rider was taken to Derriford Hospital having suffered critical and life threatening / changing injuries.

The pillion passenger of the motorcycle left the scene but later after attended Derriford Hospital himself suffering injuries to his arm.

Specialist officers from the Roads Policing Strategic Alliance attended the scene and carried out extensive investigations which involved closing the road for several hours.

A number of key witnesses was identified and spoken to at the scene. Police are keen to hear from anyone else who witnessed the incident or has dash camera footage which might assist them in their investigations. Witnesses are being asked to ring 101 and quote log reference 1050 160920.
