Police are appealing for information over a large disturbance in Falmouth town centre in which a man was assaulted and seriously injured.  

Officers were called to reports of an altercation in Church Street at around 1.15am on Sunday 16 August.

A man aged in his 20s suffered serious head injuries. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition at this time.

Police enquiries are ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have video footage of it.

A 35-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and released under investigation.
