Serious collision, Budleigh Salterton

Shortly before 12.55pm hrs on Thursday 30 July, a collision occurred in Knowle Hill, Budleigh Salterton, between a Silver Audi TT and a pedal cycle.

As a result of the collision, the pedal cyclist, a 78-year-old male from the Topsham area, suffered serious, life-changing injuries.

He was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital by land ambulance.

The driver of the Audi TT, a 65-year-old female from the Exeter, area was un-injured

Local officers, as well as those from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team, attended and a forensic examination was conducted at the scene before the road reopened.

Police are seeking any witnesses of the collision to contact them by calling 101, or emailing 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log number 419 of 30/07/20.
