Police are appealing for witnesses, dashcam and CCTV footage, of late-night public disorder in Bodmin town centre.

A group of around 10 – 20 males and females had gathered in the Fore Street area of the town, from around 11.30pm on Saturday 18 July to around 1am on Sunday 19 July, when violent altercations are reported to have broken out.

Police are investigating after a 46-year-old man from the town was assaulted at around 1am on Fore Street.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed, or have dashcam footage, of the incident, or has CCTV footage of the area around the time it occurred. 

Police are also investigating a report that a man had been stabbed in the area of the junction of Dennison and Berrycombe Road, Bodmin, at around 11.30pm. 

A 19-year-old man from Bodmin was taken to hospital in an ambulance for treatment for suspected multiple stab wounds. 

A police dog unit conducted a search of the area and a 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, both from Bodmin, were located and arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent and bailed until 13^th August pending further enquiries.
