Don't Be Tempted: Police and Partners Warn Of Danger Of Swimming In Open Water

Police and partners warning residents of the potentially life threatening dangers of swimming in open water this summer.

Leeds District Police and Yorkshire Water are issuing the warning following an incident yesterday in which young people were seen gathering near and swimming in a reservoir in the district.

Emergency services were called to a reservoir in Tingley on Friday teatime following reports a young girl had got into difficulty while swimming, and needed assistance to get out of the water.
