Police are appealing for witnesses to a two-vehicle collision in Exeter which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

Emergency services were called at 10.40am on Saturday 16 May following the collision between a Skoda Fabia and a Kawasaki motorcycle on Rydon Lane, at the junction with Old Rydon Lane.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s from Exeter, sustained life threatening injuries. He remains in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

The female car driver did not sustain any injuries.

Local officers, as well as officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team and Serious Collison Investigation Team, attended the scene.

The road was closed for six hours while a forensic investigation was carried out at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and would like to speak to the driver of a large grey panel van who may have seen the collision.
