At approximately 1746 hours on Tuesday 31^st March 2020, the Devon and Cornwall Police received a call from ambulance control stating that there had been a Road Traffic Collision on the A39 near Tregilders Farm Wadebridge CORNWALL, the collision involved a car head on into a van. Numerous South Western Ambulance Service Trust resources attended the scene along with staff from Cornwall Fire and Rescue.

An elderly male sadly died at the scene  and a 49 year old male from the Sheffield area received upper body injuries ,not thought to be life threatening  

Local Police Officers, Operations department Officers and Specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and launched a full forensic examination.

Police are requesting that any witnesses with any information and or dash camera footage are to please come forward, unless they have already been in contact with officers at the scene.

The Police Incident Number is 578 dated 31^st March 2020
