In a tragic turn of events, a 32-year-old man from Udham Singh Nagar district committed suicide after his supported candidates lost in the recent panchayat elections. Lalit Arya, distraught by the defeat of Babita Rautela and Deepti Panda, was allegedly taunted by residents. Overwhelmed and called his friend, revealing he felt like a traitor before collapsing near the Gaula river.
