Amidst controversy surrounding historical accuracy of 'The Bengal Files,' actor Saswata Chatterjee has distanced himself, clarifying his role as an actor, not a historian. He stated that verifying historical claims isn't his responsibility. Chatterjee also mentioned his unawareness of the film's title change and director Vivek Agnihotri claimed the trailer launch was halted due to lack of permission.
