Darkstar Pave Their Subtle Return With 'Wolf'

It's a subdued, almost ominous return...

Electronic partnership *Darkstar* have shared their new track 'Wolf'.

The group released their outstanding album 'Foam Island' in 2015, tapping into the growing spirit of underlying resentment being caused by austerity cuts and conditions across the North of England.

A record that in many ways foretold the Brexit vote, 'Foam Island' interspersed their lucid electronics with voice notes from ordinary people.

Since then Darkstar have embarked on numerous projects, but little in the way of new recorded material has been forthcoming.

New track 'Wolf' then, is more than welcome. A subdued electronic piece that drifts into uncanny territories, there's a lingering air of darkness at the fringes.

Darkstar comment...

"Wolf if is about something ominous catching you back up. Bills, the big bad wolf. Who knows? We wanted to have some fun with how brazen the lyrics are in comparison with how soulful the track is.''

Tune in now.
