Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, popularly known as KSI, is a British YouTuber and rapper – and this week it was revealed that he lost £7mln in the Bitcoin crash. He has recently released his new album ‘All Over the Place and is also an internet personality known for his commentary videos while playing Fifa video games. His channels have a combined 36 million subscribers. More recently KSI started his music career in 2015 with the top 30 single ‘Lamborghini’. What’s he got to do with crypto? The Youtuber and papper KSI have recently announced that he has lost £7 million while investing in Bitcoin. While speaking on a podcast, he revealed that he has invested £2 million in Bitcoin in November last year and the following surge in Bitcoin prices, his investment grew to £7million but lost all of it when Bitcoin crashed. Despite losing a massive chunk of his digital capital, KSI is regularly posting videos supporting crypto and still believes Bitcoin is ‘here to stay’. Anyone else taken a punt on crypto? Following the hype around Bitcoin and the meme-inspired Dogecoin, new cryptocurrencies have been popping every day to take the advantage of the euphoria around them. With the surge in the number of cryptocurrencies and their values, many internet-based influencers including YouTubers, rappers and blog-writers have started taking a punt on crypto. The list of such people is huge but some of the most popular names includes Adin Ross, Sam Pepper, Logan Paul and Callux. Logan Paul, an American blogger and internet personality, rose to the limelight following his association with the Dink Doink token. Logan Paul is not only supporting the altcoin but has also voiced a character in Dink Doink episodes. Later, Paul and his association Dink Doink were scrutinised and criticised by other YouTubers but he continues to enjoy support from his followers. Another YouTube prankster named, Callum McGinley, who posts comedy videos, funny interviews run a channel by the name Callux and has over 3.5 million subscribers, is also known for supporting digital currencies. Recently, his popularity rose when KSI announced that he is giving 1 million to him for teaching him about Crypto.
