According to local police chief Arshad Awan, a suicide bomber detonated his explosive-laden vest close to a van transporting Japanese autoworkers in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi, causing injuries to three bystanders.
The van was en route to an industrial area where the five Japanese nationals are employed at Pakistan Suzuki Motors.
