Somehow, many have heard from illiterate scholars that this passage somehow sets the Sabbath at sunset because that is when Nehemiah closed the gates.
However, those have clearly never tun a successful event, don't understand how markets work, and have no clue how the Sabbath operates and even in terms of the Jerusalem gates.

In the end, Ezekiel as well defines this in terms of the gates which would customarily, prior to Nehemiah, have been opened at sunrise for the Sabbath as that is when Sabbath begins.
