South Yorkshire's crime commissioner has paid tribute to father-of-two Chris Marriott who died when a car ploughed into a crowd of people as he was trying to assist a stranger.
Describing the incident as an "appalling and heartbreaking tragedy", Dr Alan Billings expressed his deep sorrow for Mr Marriott's family.
