The state football championships will now be at The Rock in Hattiesburg on the campus of Southern Miss.
This move was made because of the success of the Jackson State football team and the SWAC Schedule.
The MHSAA state football finals were scheduled to be at Veterans Memorial Stadium but the finals are the same weekend as the SWAC Championship game.
JSU is leading the East Division and could host the SWAC title game.
The dates and times for the state championships haven't changed just the venue.
The football games return to USM after there were played there in 2019.
