A snake expert rescued a venomous cobra that broke into a school's premises in central India's Madhya Pradesh on February 24.

The incident took place at the Government Higher Secondary School, located in the Gaur Nagar neighbourhood of Makronia, in the Sagar district.

Visuals show the rescuer, Akeel Baba, retrieving the was five-foot-long snake that hid behind one of the iron cupboards in the school.

He holds the cobra by its tail while the reptile swings its body mid-air, trying to curl up.

Later, when the rescuer leaves the serpent on the ground, and it curls up in an alert position.

He also displays the snake to the students and the teachers gathered at the spot by carrying it in his arms with the help of a stick.

However, when he tried to shift the cobra into a container, the reptile struck at him.

Reportedly Upon realizing that a snake had entered the school premises, the authorities alerted the local rescuer, who rushed to the spot.

It took him nearly half an hour to rescue the venomous cobra.

Given that there were students present at the school, along with the teachers, had the snake bitten anyone, it could have proven to be a fatal accident.
