New testing resources set to start in Shasta County next week

More COVID-19 testing resources are coming to Shasta County.

That second testing site will be located right behind me at the boggs building on the shasta health and human services campus..

It's not up and running just yet.

Set up for the new testing site starts next monday.

It will be open from tuesday through saturday.

But you can already book an appointment now.

The number of tests that will be available through these state testing resources will triple, what was available at the shasta college site.

That site is already running 5 days a week, there will be an additional 5 day a week site and then there will be the travelling team that will go around to these three other locations.

Shasta county is 1-of-9 counties getting a new testing site.

It's original testing site at shasta college is still operational as well.

The county is also getting a travelling testing team.

Which will alternate between anderson, the city of shasta lake, and the enterprise area.
