Small Biz stimulus

The city is also getting ready to wrap up its small business stimulus program.... but there could be a round two.

Fs vo bullets:no small business stimulus program source: commerce lexington - $2.5 million program - $2 ... the urban county council was updated about the $2.5 million program today.

Commerce lexington's access loan program has approved more than two-million-100- thousand dollars in grants to 151 businesses in fayette county over the last five weeks.

The average grant was about $14,000.

Commerce lexington says... of the grants that have bee approved, 30 percent are owed by minorities and 36 percent are owned by women.

The groups says 235 businesses applied for funds and there is about $180,000 left to give out.

The program was established early last month to help businesses hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak and is funded with money from the city and the federal cares act
