Shasta County Grand Jury report reveals lack of fire fuel management leaves county at risk

The Shasta County Grand Jury released its report into the Carr Fire.

The report revealed a lack of fire fuel management led to the county being at risk for fires.

The grand jury made several recommendations like better fuel reduction and defensible space.

This is the 14-page report the shasta county grand jury released.

I went through it to see what else the grand jury said.

This report comes almost two years after the carr fire killed 8 people, destroyed more than a thousand buildings and burned almost 230 thousand acres.

((how??)) it also says the board of supervisors should provide funding for vegetation treatment starting next year...(what does this mean) and by december: the shasta county fire department will report its fuel fire management projects to the board of supervisors it was hard going thru the house in 2 hours time what we wanted to save// awareness is already there, it's not awareness because of a grand jury report it's awareness because of major fires in the region the shasta county board of supervisors has 90 days to respond to the report.
