VCSC looking for community members to help with Elementary School Reorganization Committee

They are looking for community members to assist in the decision making process.

The vigo county fair.

The vigo county school corporation is ready to move forward with plans to consolidate elementary schools.

The plan is to go from 18 to 15 schools.

Officials say the plan will take a lot of work and that's why they need your help.

Leaders are working to create a committee to help make this difficult decision.

The committiee will consist of two members from each school with less than 3-hundred students.

That includes davis park... deming... fayette... franklin... meadows... sugar creek consolidated... and west vigo elementary.

Other potential members include a director of student services... director of faciltiies and transportation... a service organization from both terre haute and west terre haute... and a community member.
