Investigation underway after deadly shooting .

We start this morning with breaking news.

7 people are dead..

And a homicide investigation is underway in morgan county..

After deputies responded to a deadly shooting in the lacey's spring area overnight.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are still on scene at this hour.

Take a listen as to how the morgan county sheriffs office describes the scene.

It is a horrific scene and to be able to process it will take some time.

The shooting happened just before midnight last night on talucah road in valhermoso springs.

That that's in morgan county.

We know part of the house was on fire!

You can see flashing lights and a heavy law enforcement presence.

The morgan county sheriff's office told us neighbors called 911 just before 11-30 after hearing gunshots.

When deputies got here they found part of the home on fire.

They were able to put it out before the fire department got here.

As they investigated, they found seven adults dead in the home.

Investigators have been talking to people who live here all morning.

We know it was a neighbor who made the 911 call.

Since i've been here i've seen neighbors in their night clothes outside giving statements to investigators.

The spokesperson for the morgan county sheriffs office told me they're going to be here for hours as they work the scene.

"each scene is a homicide all into itself so its processing seven scenes if you will so it's going to take some time.

The madison county sheriffs office crime scene unit is also here helping just because there's so much to process.

We do want to let you know the sheriffs office believes this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

But if you do live on talacuh road you'll want to keep in mind that a large portion of the road will be shutdown as the investigation continues.
