Matt...renee...north fork is one of those restaurants choosing to open back up tomorrow and they tell me it couldn't come soon enough.
And they're taking extra steps to make sure everyone and everything is safe...including the food.
Deliveries now come through the back door and as you can see --- theres a 'knock only' sign for the deliverer.
Then they unpackage everything and clean all the produce*before it comes in.
Under brown's guidance for restaurants..bars...b rewaries...winteries..
.tasting rooms and distilleries in this first phase.... they must limit the amount of customers --- make sure their tables are six feet apart including when customers approach or leave tables.
Limit parties to ten people or fewer.
All employees will have to wear face coverings at all times.
And they have to minimize employee bare hand contact with food through use of utensils.
Employees here at north fork tell me... they're eager to be able to feed people again while doing what they love.
"to have the staff come in and be so happy just to come in and clean means we are doing something that they want to be apart of so keeping that family together again and atmosphere is really great" and another big change... restaurants have to close at 10.
Aside from the loss of business during those hours...i am sure many sports fans will be bummed to hear this news...considering this place is covered with flatscreens with late night games on one after the other.
But... to make it easier to adjust they took out the bar stools so that there is no confusion.
