As communities continue to adapt to the impacts of the coronavirus, Shasta County Health and Human Services is asking local vendors to step up to the plate.

The angency has asked vendors to provide meals and delivery for the homeless.

In addition to meal services... the county is considering preparing local hotels to serve as temporary emergency shelters to house the homeless population - individuals considered "high- risk."

I think everybody should be able to eat and everybody should be able to stay in housing.
