Ross rowling spoke with a local woman who saw a lot of damage right in her own backyard..

He gives you a look a closer look.

<you can't prepare for the wrath of a storm.

"i've never seen anything like this in vincennes" you can only brace yourself.

"i grabbed a few things and headed for the basement because i knew what it was" now the folks in vincennes are left to put the town back together.

"this is the biggest tree i've ever seen uprooted by the roots, i mean this is huge" some of the most prominent damage occurred at rivet high school where the top of the west wall was ripped off, and a science lab turned to a tight rope for workers.

"we're just staying patriot strong, getting a lot of support from the community, families, students and we're going to be ready to go when school reopens."

Windows blown out....chairs tossed like paperweights....and bricks and bones littering the lab...one thing stood noticeably in tact...untouched on the wall...the crucifix.

"that's our sign that god's with us and that everything is going to be ok" a symbolic reminder that even the biggest of storms, can always be weathered... in vincennes, i'm ross rowling.
