Paradise Athletics affected by coronavirus

Athletics program was just starting to rise after the camp fire& but with the california lock- down hey may not get to finish what they started at home.
The bobcats at paradise high school kicked off their season right& "it was just an exciting football year, we had so much fun& and so much community involvement, it was just so fantastic to see that trickle into basketball& athletic director anne stearns was very optimistic about the spring season& until the coronavirus hit.
She was like hey..
I love your optimism, but i need us to be real about this situation that is going on.
As of now -- athletics are still suspended at all california high schools until further notice.
"my heart just sank i mean, for us this is just one more chapter in a really hard couple years for paradise high.
Just as they were starting to rise --- the bobcats were stopped in what could be very detrimental for seniors' futures& we have an athlete, patrick rolling that he had amazing times his junior year for never being on his home track and he was really banking on the fact that this season was going to provide him with a four year scholarship& and for most seniors--- this season was their last chance to play at home& new tracks and fields, paradise high worked tirelessly to fix in time.
For our seniors they were so excited we were only days away from being able to touch the grass& these kids haven't even touched the grass yet& a new softball field that went from this --- to this& new sod for the baseball team& and a freshly painted track & now theyre' not even able to practice on them& im just hoping they get some playing time for us it's just trying to find the silverlining& and that is --- the new gym& right now construction workers are still working and on track to finish on time despite the californian lockdown& a silver lining--- anne wants to keep going& we could all talk abuot the negatives but somehow we have to build up the possibility of coming back and having a great rest of the year.
Anne says the date they are looking to come back is april 20th... but this changes day by day.
