Allotments are a valuable resource - not land to be sold off

Last week I was so proud to harvest around two dozen large, juicy plums from one of the two plum trees in our small garden. Sadly the other tree produced no fruit this year. Our crop of blackberries was pathetic, small and unimpressive fruit whereas last year we had more than we could cope with. I’m not much of a gardener.
