Surge in shoplifting sweeping Cornwall results in plea for 'more police on the streets'

There were more than 500,000 shoplifting offences in England and Wales in 2024, a 20 per cent rise on the previous year and record high - with big increases in Cornwall too, especially in these hotspots.
