Police appeal for witnesses following death of teenage girl in Wadebridge

Officers were first contacted at around 2.25pm on Monday 25 May following reports of an upturned solid hull vessel at the Doom Bar in the Camel Estuary.

The air ambulance and coastguard subsequently assisted with four casualties who were taken to the lifeboat house before being taken to hospital.

Sadly, a 17-year-old local girl was later pronounced deceased. Her next-of-kin have been informed. 

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed or captured the incident on camera to contact police on 101 quoting log 525, 25/5/20.
