SC Writes Letter To Union On Ex-CJI Chandrachud’s Extended Stay In Govt Residence

Although Justice Chandrachud's term as the top judge of the country concluded around eight months ago, he is still the occupant of the official residence allocated for the CJI. SC administration has written to the Union Government, highlighting that the former CJI's overstay at the official residence at Krishna Menon Marg in New Delhi beyond his tenure. He served as the 50th CJI between November 2022 and November 2024.
