Ian Blackford is a Scottish politician who, since 8 May 2015, has been the Member of Parliament for Ross, Skye and Lochaber. Originally from Edinburgh, he previously worked as an investment banker and has been involved with various business ventures since. He was the party's National Treasurer from 1999-2000. Since 14 June 2017, Blackford has been the leader of the SNP Westminster Group; after Angus Robertson lost his seat at the 2017 snap general election the previous week.
