CBS News reports a student who witnessed and survived the horrors of the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

Called on House lawmakers to enact more stringent gun laws to counter a flood of mass shootings in the country.

Miah Cerrillo, a fourth-grader, appeared in a pre-recorded video before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on June 8.

Cerrillo recalled smearing the blood of a classmate on her body to appear as though she was dead to protect herself.

Cerrillo says the gunman came into her classroom, told her teacher "good night," and shot her in the head.
