Wildlife enthusiast Ewan Wilson could not contain his excitement as a Harris's hawk landed on his arm.

Filmed in Logroño, Spain, Wilson was fitted with falconry equipment and captured the moment the bird of prey flew and perched on his arm.

The filmer is heard saying: "That's so cool!" He told Newsflare: "This incredible bird has been trained as a 'working raptor' and has the job of pest control.

Keeping populations of rabbits down so they do not damage the local golf course and ecosystems by eating too much vegetation.

"Although it may seem cruel, rabbits can damage ecosystems. If the population of rabbits is stable they play a vital role in the environment.

Falconers are passionate about maintaining nature's balance and do the job that a lot of us would prefer not to do."
