COVID-19: Police increases surveillance in Delhi, Noida amid night curfew

Due to spike in COVID-19 cases, night curfew has been imposed in Delhi till April 30.

Police barricading was place to keep a check on the vehicular movement.

Uttar Pradesh Police also checked identity cards of commuters entering Noida from Delhi at Chilla Border.

The night curfew has been imposed in Noida between 10 pm and 5 pm till April 17 in view of rising cases of COVID-19.

Addl CP (L and O) of GautamBuddha Nagar district, Love Kumar said, "We're asking commuters as to why they're travelling during night curfew.

We allow them (to enter Noida) if we find their reasons satisfactory.

Many people aren't aware of the night curfew.

We'll strictly implement it from tomorrow."
