Bijapur naxal attack: Missing jawan in custody of Naxals, says local journalist

The CRPF jawan who got missing during Bijapur Naxal attack has been abducted by Naxalite, confirmed by Communist Party of India (Maoist) in a released statement.

A journalist from Bijapur Ganesh Mishra also confirmed the news and said that he got a call from Naxals.

"I received two calls from Naxals that one jawan is in their custody.

They said the jawan received bullet injury and was given medical treatment, and he'll be released in two days.

They said a video and photo of jawan to be released soon," Ganesh told ANI.

In the two-page letter, Communist Party of India (Maoist) said, "In Bijapur attack, 24 security personnel lost lives, 31 injured and one is in our custody.

4 People's Liberation Guerrilla Army personnel lost lives.

Ready to negotiate with govt, they can announce mediators.

We will release him.
