L3: morning brew white 2021 derby burger champion brian capps, bourbon blueberry & brie bacon cheeseburger brian capps is the 2021 derby burger champion capps won the contest with his bourbon blueberry and brie bacon cheeseburger.

His burger is made with 100% kentucy cattlemen's ground beef and topped with brie, thick-cut bacon, a blueberry bourbon sauce and arugula...all on a brioche bun.

This is the second time capps has entered the competition.

His specialty is in burgers...but this recipe came from grilled cheese.

Dozens of people entered their own burgers into the competition.

More than 11,000 people picked 8 semi- finalists.

The winning burger recipe will be featured inside louisville area krogers from april 21 through derby weekend.
