Minnesota driver's license extention

You must renew your expired ID by March 31st.

Minnesota drivers who still need to renew their expired license have less than a week to do so.

But that's all coming to an end on march 31st.

Minnesota drivers were given the option to extend renewing their license because of the pandemic.

To date... more than 130 thousand minnesotans still have to get theirs renewed before the deadline.

Emma corrie with driver and vehicle services tells me if that's you... get it done as soon as you can because if not... you could get in some trouble.

"if you do not renew before march 31st, as in any other situation, you would be then risking driving without an active credential.

So that is driving without a valid driver's license and you odn't want to be in that situation."
