Cal OES: 45% of burned properties cleared from 2020 Butte Co. fires

Butte County is one step closer to clearing out all the debris from last year's wildfires.

Linda - more than 45 percent of debris has been cleared from properties that were handled by the state.

It is a similar situation the town of paradise has been through.

Most of the debris appeared because of the bear fire ripping through berry creek.

So far crews from cal o-e-s have cleared 461 properties out of the 1- thousand in butte county.

Some of the items they clear out include burned metal, concrete and ash.
