Anthony Smith had plans to join the Navy but when the COVID-19 pandemic pushed back his departure to boot camp his mom wanted to do something to lift his spirits.
So she took to Nextdoor.com and asked the community if they could help send him off in a big way while still social distancing.
The response was explosive and the neighborhood rallied together to drive by and send him well wishes.
