New at four -- u-n-a will be a community covid vaccination site -- getting monthly shipments from the state to help the community.

This is the gulliot university center and inside of this building there are already signs up pointing people in the direction of the vaccination clinic that kicks off next week.

Una officials said they are getting about 2,000 doses of the moderna vaccine that will go to staff members and people in the commmunity who meet the criteria for phase one b as designated by the state.

The head of una's covid task force said this is a moment they've planned and waited on.

She said parking at the unviersity won't be an issue for people getting their shots and they've planned all the logistics to help things run smootly.

The university police department has designated spots marked off in the back of the guc between the communitcations building.

And we have a number of designated slots and we have people that will man those slots welcoming folks and verifying their appointment time and then they will be allowed to park in those designated areas based on their appointment time una's health services staff, students studying to be nurses will help give the vaccines out.

The clinic will run next monday, tuesday, and wednesday.

Right now they still have spots open but una officials said they are verifying everyones eligbility and even if you sign up but aren't eligible you cannot get a shot.
