A family of four was able to get out safely after their mobile home caught on fire in Hartwick Thursday night.

Family escaped a raginfie to escape with just the clothes on their backs.

It happened last night around 8:30 at the petkewec road mobile home park in hartwick.

According to all- otsego.com....the pagillo family dad jim, his wife, and their daughter and her boyfriend escaped.

They were able to get ther dogs out, but a number of cats and number of birds perished.

The mobile home park is next to the cooperstown family campground.

The mobile home was completely destroyed, as was an 'r-v'....parked on the lot.

An adjacent trailer also had its siding melted.

Hartwick was aided by a number of departments.

Firefifighters had to respond again around 6:30 this morning for flare- ups.

The cause is under investigation.
