Massive fire destroys more than a century of history - in one western kentucky community.... in princeton - flames engulfing a warehouse known as the "historic old leroy building" - at around 8:00 wednesday night.... although mostly unused now - the building housed the princeton hosiery mills - for the better part of the 19- hundreds.... a place many in town worked - or have family members who were once employed there... this is video shared with us - by the town's newspaper "the banner".... they spoke with the fire chief on-scene - who says - the cause of the fire is still unclear.... "it evidently, had a tremendous start right off the bat.

People instantly said there was flames through the roof.

Fire over the whole building."

The roof and several walls collapsed.... volunteer fire crews were able to protect most of the storage units - built near the old warehouse.... they battled the massive fire in snow and below-freezing temperatures for most of wednesday
