INSTEAD A LARGE TREE GAVE WAY TO ICE AND CRASHED ON A MENIFEE COUNTY HOME THURSDAY... WHILE THE COUPLE WERE INSIDE
Its a scene that looks like a tornado ripped through a cabin... instead a large tree gave way to ice and crashed on a menifee county home thursday... while the couple were inside ernie ferguson says the tree fell right between him and his wife arond 2:30 a- m--both believing to have been knocked out for a period of time from the ceiling collapsing above them.
Ferguson says his wife is still recovering from a concussion.
He says it took 4 and a half hours for paramedics to get to them as fallen trees prevented them from getting through.
He adds they had always been worried about the tree--but in the 20 years of living there--nothing like this has ever happened.
"it happened in a split second i mean all of a sudden everything started to get real loud like a hurrican coming through it was just really loud and in a bout two seconds after it came down the lights went off and it started getting really cold cuz the whole roof is gone" the ferguson's are warning others to be safe in these storms and to check the surrounding outside your home.
