The Texas man who shot a Whitfield County deputy has been sentenced to 25 years after a plea deal.
Dalton Potter Sentenced
A whitfield county deputy during a traffic stop last september, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Potter pleaded guilty to aggravated assault of a peace officer, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and several other offenses.
The wounded deputy recovered.
Potter faces additonal charges in gordon county and in texas.
