Bill Pulte Interview Clip 1

David Martosko 02:16What's the largest amount of money that you've given any one person?

Bill Pulte 02:19Well, Mr. Beast, and I -- he's a famous YouTuber -- we gave away about $100,000 in one tweet, so I think we gave $10,000 to 10 people.

David Martosko 02:29No, but I mean, the individual person who got the most money out of what you're doing Bill Pulte 02:32I think probably $20,000 or $30,000 is the most that I've given on a single tweet.

I've thought about giving more.

We did one where we gave away $100,000.

We gave $10,000 to 10 people.

But you know, even $20, David, can really shape somebody's life in a positive way.

David Martosko 02:51What does it feel like to you to push a button and drop $10,000 into the bank account of somebody you've never met?

Bill Pulte 02:58It feels great to hit that button and know that it's just going to virally go and inspire other people to give.

You know, I say I'm just one millionaire, right?

Once my bank account's dry, that's it.

I say this will only be successful if we can have it have a network effect and ripple across the country -- and frankly, the globe.

This has become a global phenomenon, Twitter philanthropy has.

David Martosko 03:22Can you rattle off so people understand, who haven't been following it closely, rattle off some names of people who would be household names who have noticed this, who have set out the emulate it, who have asked you for information or advice?

How mainstream has this become?

Bill Pulte 03:37It's become pretty mainstream.

You have Marcus Lemonis of CNBC who said we inspired him.

Dave Portnoy was allegedly inspired by Lemonis of CNBC.

So it has this kind of ripple effect.

Mr. Beast and I have done some things that spurred -- Jeffree Star is a big YouTuber.

So, I mean, these things, they have a ripple effect.

David Dobrik is a YouTuber.

I gave away a Tesla, and then all of a sudden he gave away a Tesla.

So you know, these things tend to have a viral effect, just like the Internet does.

It's almost like Bitcoin, in a certain sense, and it just spreads like wildfire.

And the good thing is, this is charity spreading like wildfire.

It's about time that something good spreads across the Internet.

You know, for so long it's been porn, and it's been all kinds of other -- murders, and all kinds of bad stuff that goes across the Internet.

Finally we're getting charity to go across the Internet.
