Google plans to offer some of its facilities in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Kirkland, Washington and New York City as vaccination clinics.

The company intends to expand beyond those locations once more vaccines are available across the country.

According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, $100 million in ad grants will go to the CDC, WHO and other nonprofits.

$50 million will go toward providing vaccine education to "underserved communities.".

According to Google, "searches for 'vaccines near me' have increased 5x since the beginning of the year.".

The vaccine info panels in its search results will now be expanded, showing state and regional distribution info.

Getting vaccines to billions of people won’t be easy, but it’s one of the most important problems we’ll solve in our lifetimes, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, via blog post
