Exclusive video shows Shoals man booked in Colbert County Jail for capital murder

New at six - the arrest of a shoals man for a double homicide brings out a lot of emotions for two families who have waited for this moment.

Here is exclusive video within the last hour of shaun ryan being booked into the colbert county jail.

That's after he was charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths of kayla glover and gary wayne baskins in 2015.

She spoke with kayla glover's family today, breken?

Sherry howard is kaylas mom but she's also an icu nurse who works the covid floor.

She was overcome with emotion when she found out they finally arrested her daughters killer.

She didn't want to go on camera today but told me it's been a roller coaster of emotions the last 24 hours.

Both gunned down while they sat in a car outside of jody's resturant on highway 20 or alternate 72 in muscle shoals.

Year after year the families mourned their loss and begged the public to come foward with answers.

Both kayla and gary wayne had children and those children have grown up without the parents for almost six years.

Muscle shoals police aren't releaseing many details on the case because it's been such a tough one to work.

More details will come out in the following days as court records are released.

Kaylas mom told me this does bring some sense of peace for her grandkids knowing there is finally an arrest and justice to be served.

We will be speaking with kaylas family on the anniversary of the murders.
