We're learning details this morning about the chaos overnight in a springfield neighborhood after police arrest a man on multiple charges including attempted murder.

Jacob, what are police saying so far?
We just arrived at the scene here at the country manor mobile home park.
Springfield police were called here around 10 o'clock last night for reports of an assault.
They say earlier in the evening, 44 year old randy morphew was arguing with his mother over money that he believed was owed to him.
Police say his mother feared for her safety, but morphew left the scene with a knife, smashing windows of a nearby family member as he left.
Later in evening, police received calls from family and neighbors that morphew had returned home to his mother's residence and was again confronting her about money.
She was heard screaming and callers believed morphew was in the process of assaulting her.
When officers arrived, they found morphew was found standing on the front steps of the trailer covered in blood.
He was allegedly yelling derogatory comments stating that he hoped his mother died.
His elderly mother was found covered in blood as she had sustained serious physical injuries.
She was taken to the hospital multiple facial fractures, lacerations, and an internal brain bleed.
Morphew was arrested and placed in the lane county jail.
He now faces an attempted murder charge as well as assault and menacing.
