Redding community in shock after officer-involved shooting at Discovery Village

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office is taking over an officer-involved shooting that happened on Wednesday night.

We knwo -- last night around 6- thirty... police got a call about a woman causing a disturbance at mod pizza..

The woman took off in a car and hit an officer..

Another officer fired their gun -- striking and killing the suspect.
