Quarterback deuce hugger- takes the snap... - ryder passes to wide open - receiver cayden fant-- fant - dodges tide players right and - left... tacking on a few- yards after catch while getting- the hornets first down.

- seconds ticking down in the - - - - first... tide running back- austin samples out due to a - possible concussion-- he- does though come back in the- second quarter.

Hickman instead- relies on fullback darnell smit- who adds his name to the- list of tide rushers.

- second quarter... second down - for the hornets - in their own territory--- that- is, until fant gets the handoff- from hugger in the back field.- fant finds the edge..

Turns up- field and all picayune players- can do now is watch those - long legs carry him to the- endzone for a 70-yard - touchdown.

Hornets get on the - board first, 7 - nothing.

- later in the second... hornets- within stinging - distance of another 7 points...- receiver hayden byrd- morris closing that gap with a- snatch on the sideline- first and inches... hugger with- the quarterback sneak...- touchdown!

Well, actually not - - - - quite.

- in a turn of the tide, picayune- rallies after halftime, - scoring two touchdowns and- - - - shutting out east central in th- second half, claiming their 4th- win this season 14 -7.- - st.

Stanislaus another one of - those 3-0 teams... hosting 0-3- poplarville... but that record- is deceiving... also a first- round - re-match, from last year's 4-a- playoffs.

- getting right into it,- poplarville's nathaniel - anderson hands it to gregory- swann but tackled just- before the end of the first - quarter.

Moving on to the secon- on the otherside, swann won't - fall- short this time.

Fights his way- into the endzone to put the - hornets first on the scoreboard- with a 6 yard run... 7-0- visitors.

Stanislaus now in - posession... gage peterson can'- find his target but decides to- take it himself right up the- middle... but tackled by hornet- khalid moore but- despite the last name says no - more.

- peterson again, looking down th- field, runs out of the- pocket just in time for his - right hand man chandler - chapman to be an option... in - the hands of chapman but just - barely... first down for the- party like a rock-a-chaws...- making their way down the field- now once the ref moves out of - the way, peterson finds - ja'kobe cameron.

Quick swivel o- the hips for cameron... he- tries to cut into the middle bu- is stopped short by the hornets- peterson and cameron yet- again... possibly a dynamic duo- here... cameron fights through- not one, not two, but a swarm - of hornets just before being- tackled out of bounds.- now peterson again, tries to- make it a one man show, but - tackled just short of putting - the rocks on the scoreboard...- no- touchdown here just yet, but i- have a feeling that peterson is- hungry tonight.

- and i think i'm right, first an- goal for the rocks here... and- peterson said lets eat, right - through no problem... the - rocks get on the board and afte- the extra point... tie up the - game- at 7-all in the second quarter.- however... the hornets would- score 20 un-answered points - in the second half... to win it- 27-7.

- - west harrison hosting harrison- central... red rebels led by- their 27-man senior class... th- biggest on the entire gulf- coast... and it's turning out t- - - - be a problem for everyone else.- first quarter... it's a bird...- it's a plane... it's a man name- jaidon- mc-clain... the senior running- back rumbles inside the west- harrison 25 yard-line... first- down h-c.

- now a lot of sophomore- quarterbacks on the coast this- season... and here's one of - them... as christian turner - keeps it on the option... for - the red rebels touchdown... 7-- nothing visitors.

- ensuing drive for the - hurricanes... running back- keonte smith shaking loose for - nice first down run...- however harrison central would- get the ball- back... and that's where we fin- receiver isaiah atkins streakin- down the sideline for a huge- touchdown.- another blowout win for the red- rebels... who take this - one 42-zero.- - gulfport technically getting tw- results on the- same night... forfeiting its- original game against st.
