Dozens of people who booked a coronavirus test in England found an unstaffedsite on Thursday, while others faced long queues and were turned away as thesystem struggles to cope with soaring demand.
About 50 cars were parked at theDoxford Park testing site in Sunderland, just hours after it was announced thecity would be subject to local Covid-19 restrictions in a bid tackle risinginfection rates in parts of the North East.
